Package: ipw3945d Version: 1.7.22-4 Severity: important
A constantly repeated error shows at the console (Ctrl+Alt+F1): ipw3945: Detected geography ABG (13 802.11bg channels, 23 802.11a channels) ipw3945: Microcode SW error detected. Restarting. ipw3945: Error Reply type 0x00000005 cmd ADD_STA (0x18) seq 0x047 ser 0x004A0000 ipw3945: Can't stop Rx DMA. The above error occurs approximately twice per second. Restarting the ipw daemon has no effect. It consumes a lot of resources because I can feel my system freeze twice a second when the error occurs. I had to stop the ipw daemon to be able to make my system usable again. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages ipw3945d depends on: ii adduser 3.102 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-23.2etch1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip Versions of packages ipw3945d recommends: ii firmware-ipw3945 0.4 Binary firmware for IPW3945 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
