I use the kernel
| Linux HOST 2.6.26-1-686 #1 SMP Sat Aug 9 00:49:45 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux
with a
| Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82C686 AC97 Audio
Controller (rev 50)
audio controller via ALSA and are not able to reproduce any sound
problems.
Please reproduce the problem using mplayer and alsa or similar to
eliminate possible GUI effects.
