FWIW, we're also seeing this, on machines mounting several large NFS volumes that serve virtual accounts (i.e., they all have the same UID/GID and no shell access). After ~two days of uptime, these moderately loaded machines (running Apache, ProFTPD, and Courier IMAP) start spending >90% of CPU time in system state and become so unresponsive that they must be rebooted. Running the 2.6.28 that was recently in sid (which contains the commit Anton mentions) fixed this. john -- John Morrissey _o /\ ---- __o j...@horde.net _-< \_ / \ ---- < \, www.horde.net/ __(_)/_(_)________/ \_______(_) /_(_)__ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-kernel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
