I misread the output on my first Debian bug reply. libmtp8 seems to be the issue. I removed that package and then I could update-initramfs -u and dpkg --configure -a to continue my upgrade. I reinstalled it after my upgrade and now sudo update-initramfs -u still fails even after the reinstall. -- Tom
