Hi, this is to let you know that I seem to have the same problem.
I recently updated from the current lenny kernel (2.6.26, self-compiled, but only with changes to one pata-driver), to the current version in sid (2.6.30, with the same change). Communication with my Garmin GPSMap 60csx was no problem with version 2.6.26 (using the lenny version of gpsbabel: 1.3.5-1.1), but it hangs with version 2.6.30.
