First of all try to reproduce the error without the Nvidia binary module
loaded.
If it still occurs with an untaitned kernel, please install the
"joystick" package and run
evtest /dev/input/event0 (or whatever device your keyboard may be)
Is the output different if you compare the output against an older
kernel, which doesn't show the behaviour?
