Hi,

Compatibility of em8300 with linux 2.6.26 was fixed in version 0.16.4-4; 
please re-enable those modules in linux-modules-contrib-2.6.

linux-modules-contrib-2.6 has been removed and will not come back.  The
most serious problem with this package is described in bug #517130.  You
can make your module-source packages build modules automatically by
integrating them with dkms.
