Dear folks, I've just realized that backported lenny kernel linux-image-2.6.30-bpo.2-686 (2.6.30-8~bpo50+1) does not have /proc/acpi/event. However /usr/sbin/acpid definitely requires it. (1.0.8-1lenny1)
