I think I mixed up everything in this bug. - vmxnet3 isn't used yet, I guess we'll have to wait for a new VMPlayer (or something else, I don't know if VirtualBox could you use it) - vmnet couldn't be built because of VMWare. We can make it build, there is lots of documentation outthere.
