wireless no longer works on my laptop with 2.6.30 kernels. I've
rebooted with a 2.6.29 kernel and am now happily reporting this bug
using my wireless connection.

closing as no followup since. also most likely fixed in 2.6.32
by disabling the powersaving features per default
