Hi, The switch to KMS results in broken suspend on some systems due to the Intel video driver missing some quirks present in the past UMS driver. Please refer to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=22126. The upstream Linux commit fixing this is b690e96c. Depending on how much of that area you backported already, adding this could be feasible to avoid some unfortunate suspend regressions.
