Thanks. There should be no direct effect: one has to specify the option "minorversion=1" before nfs-utils will attempt to mount with NFS v4.1. Without this option then NFS v4 would be attempted (if the server supports v4). I normally pull all my updates from sid; but if you let me know when there's a new kernel in experimental then I can test it, if that's any help.
