Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.32-34squeeze1 Severity: normal
I run Debian Squeeze on Seagate Dockstar. I want to use it together with USB modem as a router instead of current i386 platform which I use now. During migration it found out that kernel module is absent for this kernel, although it's included in: /lib/modules/2.6.39-2-iop32x/kernel/net/atm/br2684.ko linux-image-2.6.39-2-iop32x [armel] /lib/modules/2.6.39-2-ixp4xx/kernel/net/atm/br2684.ko linux-image-2.6.39-2-ixp4xx [armel] It breaks compatibility and br2684ctl is present in armel architecture, but looks like it's not usable here. It seems that option for compiling this module is not set: grep -i br2684 /boot/config-2.6.32-5-kirkwood # CONFIG_ATM_BR2684 is not set On i386 (and rest of architectures I guess) it's compiled as module. Can you please include this module? -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 2.6.32-5-kirkwood (Debian 2.6.32-31) ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-4) ) #1 Tue Mar 8 10:56:14 UTC 2011 ** Command line: console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/sda1 rootdelay=25 rootfstype=ext2 mtdparts=orion_nand:1M(u-boot),4M(uImage),32M(rootfs),-(data) ** Not tainted ** Kernel log: [ 22.116592] io scheduler noop registered [ 22.116600] io scheduler anticipatory registered [ 22.116607] io scheduler deadline registered [ 22.116786] io scheduler cfq registered (default) [ 22.122785] Serial: 8250/16550 driver, 2 ports, IRQ sharing disabled [ 22.123256] serial8250.0: ttyS0 at MMIO 0xf1012000 (irq = 33) is a 16550A [ 22.446667] console [ttyS0] enabled [ 22.450770] NAND device: Manufacturer ID: 0x2c, Chip ID: 0xda (Micron NAND 256MiB 3,3V 8-bit) [ 22.459340] Scanning device for bad blocks [ 22.539386] 4 cmdlinepart partitions found on MTD device orion_nand [ 22.545695] Creating 4 MTD partitions on "orion_nand": [ 22.550867] 0x000000000000-0x000000100000 : "u-boot" [ 22.556429] 0x000000100000-0x000000500000 : "uImage" [ 22.561901] 0x000000500000-0x000002500000 : "rootfs" [ 22.567380] 0x000002500000-0x000010000000 : "data" [ 22.573382] mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice [ 23.580491] rtc-mv rtc-mv: internal RTC not ticking [ 23.585481] i2c /dev entries driver [ 23.589155] cpuidle: using governor ladder [ 23.593401] cpuidle: using governor menu [ 23.597434] Registered led device: plug:green:health [ 23.602501] mv_xor_shared mv_xor_shared.0: Marvell shared XOR driver [ 23.608900] mv_xor_shared mv_xor_shared.1: Marvell shared XOR driver [ 23.650517] mv_xor mv_xor.0: Marvell XOR: ( xor cpy ) [ 23.690516] mv_xor mv_xor.1: Marvell XOR: ( xor fill cpy ) [ 23.730517] mv_xor mv_xor.2: Marvell XOR: ( xor cpy ) [ 23.770516] mv_xor mv_xor.3: Marvell XOR: ( xor fill cpy ) [ 23.777184] TCP cubic registered [ 23.780426] NET: Registered protocol family 17 [ 23.784922] Gating clock of unused units [ 23.784930] before: 0x00dfc3fd [ 23.784937] after: 0x00c701d9 [ 23.785248] registered taskstats version 1 [ 23.790021] /build/buildd-linux-2.6_2.6.32-31-armel-ReZWr3/linux-2.6-2.6.32/debian/build/source_armel_none/drivers/rtc/hctosys.c: unable to open rtc device (rtc0) [ 23.804634] Initalizing network drop monitor service [ 23.809678] Freeing init memory: 124K [ 23.890918] udev[44]: starting version 164 [ 24.160549] MV-643xx 10/100/1000 ethernet driver version 1.4 [ 24.166951] mv643xx_eth smi: probed [ 24.239777] net eth0: port 0 with MAC address 00:10:75:1a:dc:56 [ 24.253245] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs [ 24.260352] mmc0: mvsdio driver initialized, lacking card detect (fall back to polling) [ 24.270790] usbcore: registered new interface driver hub [ 24.281691] usbcore: registered new device driver usb [ 24.304413] ehci_hcd: USB 2.0 'Enhanced' Host Controller (EHCI) Driver [ 24.311089] orion-ehci orion-ehci.0: Marvell Orion EHCI [ 24.316399] orion-ehci orion-ehci.0: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1 [ 24.350512] orion-ehci orion-ehci.0: irq 19, io mem 0xf1050000 [ 24.370492] orion-ehci orion-ehci.0: USB 2.0 started, EHCI 1.00 [ 24.376493] usb usb1: New USB device found, idVendor=1d6b, idProduct=0002 [ 24.383333] usb usb1: New USB device strings: Mfr=3, Product=2, SerialNumber=1 [ 24.390606] usb usb1: Product: Marvell Orion EHCI [ 24.395333] usb usb1: Manufacturer: Linux 2.6.32-5-kirkwood ehci_hcd [ 24.401725] usb usb1: SerialNumber: orion-ehci.0 [ 24.407260] usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 24.413203] hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found [ 24.417005] hub 1-0:1.0: 1 port detected [ 24.740498] usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using orion-ehci and address 2 [ 24.891902] usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=05e3, idProduct=0608 [ 24.898635] usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=1, SerialNumber=0 [ 24.905815] usb 1-1: Product: USB2.0 Hub [ 24.911193] usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 24.920098] hub 1-1:1.0: USB hub found [ 24.924283] hub 1-1:1.0: 4 ports detected [ 25.200814] usb 1-1.4: new high speed USB device using orion-ehci and address 3 [ 25.311397] usb 1-1.4: New USB device found, idVendor=0204, idProduct=6025 [ 25.318303] usb 1-1.4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 [ 25.325662] usb 1-1.4: Product: Flash Disk [ 25.330300] usb 1-1.4: Manufacturer: [ 25.334717] usb 1-1.4: SerialNumber: 170842006E66BF01 [ 25.341173] usb 1-1.4: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 25.432179] SCSI subsystem initialized [ 25.459355] Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
