This is not a bug. NFS clients are supposed to keep on trying to reach the server, by default. You should have unmounted the directory from the NFS client(s) before shutting down the server. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings Absolutum obsoletum. (If it works, it's out of date.) - Stafford Beer
