Looks like there was no response from upstream; I'd suggest trying v3.0 from sid, experimental, or upstream and then sending a quick reminder to the alsa-devel list (cc-ing Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <[email protected]>) with the new details if it doesn't work.
