Thanks for reporting it.  Alas, it's hard to act on without some
additional information:

 - which version that update was.  It should be possible to retrieve
   with

        dpkg-query -W linux-image-$(uname -R)

 - what it means that it doesn't work.  Does it show any messages
   in dmesg?  If the keyboard has a way of showing it made a connection,
   does it seem to have connected?

 - which keyboard this is, exactly (for example, as shown by lsusb).

Closing due to lack of response, but please feel free to reopen or
file a new bug if you have more information.
