Package: linux-image-2.6-xen-amd64 Version: 2.6.32+29 Severity: normal
During install of linux-image-2.6-xen-amd64 'grub-install' is being called. If grub-install fails the package is not correctly configured. Solution: call 'update-grub' which will merge the files in /etc/grub.d and store the content in /boot/grub/grub.cfg grub2 must be installed. My problem was that grub-install failed. It was solved with 'recheck': grub-install --recheck /dev/md1 /hans schou -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages linux-image-2.6-xen-amd64 depends on: ii linux-image-2.6.32-5-xen-amd6 2.6.32-35 Linux 2.6.32 for 64-bit PCs, Xen d linux-image-2.6-xen-amd64 recommends no packages. linux-image-2.6-xen-amd64 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
