Hello. The Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/597897 is a RFP for alsa-firmwares.
I read every email related to this package on the debian-kernel mailing-list [1], but I cannot understand the reason why those firmwares are not yet part of firmware-nonfree package. However, I packaged the upstream source for my personal use, so I have the deb package ready. I can ITP the bug #597897 but I don't know anything about autotools (used in the sources), so probably if I become the maintainer I will not be able to solve package's bugs related to autotools, but I can learn.
