Yes, it is. Last year, I've tried to exclude memory problems by running memtest86+ for probably ~24h, there were no errors.
BTW: I've stopped using curlftpfs because I felt that it was slow and unstable, so if the issue is connected to that, it's no surprise that the bug didn't show up again. But I can try to trigger it again...
