This was I think mentioned in the original report, in the link to the /run transition document at http://wiki.debian.org/ReleaseGoals/RunDirectory in particular at http://wiki.debian.org/ReleaseGoals/RunDirectory#Packages_using_.2BAC8-lib.2BAC8-init.2BAC8-rw /lib/init/rw is being migrated to /run, and /lib/init/rw/sendsigs.omit.d is being moved to /run/sendsigs.omit.d. Once all packages are migrated, /lib/init/rw will be removed. Bugs were filed six months ago against all packages using the sendsigs interface. Given that length of time, we're now ready to complete the transition, which includes the removal of /lib/init/rw, which /run supersedes. The plan is to NMU any remaining packages and then upload a new initscripts with versioned Breaks against all old versions. Regards, Roger -- .''`.
