I've spotted something odd that may give us some light as to why it's not working and I wanted to discuss it here before sending a full report to the kernel mailing lists: Using Debian testing, for some unknown reason, the device is labeled as: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0cf3:3000 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth (no firmware) But under Squeeze, it becomes something different! Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0cf3:3005 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth Is this just because the firmware has been loaded and it changes or perhaps in testing, the device is being wrongly associated and thus cannot get its firmware properly?
