The aptitude bailed out due to random filesystem errors. A reboot was needed to fix this. The ext4 filesystem in question is the rootfs on a LUKS encrypted partition. The machine had at least one s2disk (uswsusp) cycle before this happened. But this probably doesn't matter. Just for completeness. I currently don't know how to reproduce this. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 3.1.0-1-amd64 (Debian 3.1.8-1) ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.6.2 (Debian 4.6.2-11) ) #1 SMP Mon Jan 9 02:31:47 UTC 2012 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.1.0-1-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/sda6_crypt ro quiet ** Not tainted ** Model information sys_vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. product_name: 1011PX product_version: x.x chassis_vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. chassis_version: x.x bios_vendor: American Megatrends Inc. bios_version: 1401 board_vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. board_name: 1015PE board_version: x.xx ** Loaded modules: uvcvideo ath9k mac80211 uhci_hcd ehci_hcd psmouse rfcomm bnep bluetooth acpi_cpufreq mperf cpufreq_powersave cpufreq_conservative cpufreq_stats cpufreq_userspace acpi_ipmi ipmi_msghandler acpi_pad sbs sbshc acpi_memhotplug container pci_slot fan cuse binfmt_misc microcode uinput ip6t_REJECT nf_conntrack_ipv6 nf_defrag_ipv6 ip6t_rt ipt_REJECT xt_state ip6table_mangle ip6table_filter ip6_tables iptable_nat nf_nat nf_conntrack_ipv4 nf_conntrack nf_defrag_ipv4 iptable_mangle iptable_filter ip_tables x_tables fuse nfsd nfs lockd fscache auth_rpcgss nfs_acl sunrpc ext3 jbd joydev loop snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_intel snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep snd_pcm_oss snd_mixer_oss snd_pcm snd_seq_midi videodev snd_rawmidi arc4 media v4l2_compat_ioctl32 snd_seq_midi_event snd_seq eeepc_wmi asus_wmi sparse_keymap pci_hotplug i915 snd_timer snd_seq_device ath9k_common ath9k_hw drm_kms_helper drm ath snd cfg80211 serio_raw i2c_algo_bit soundcore evdev iTCO_wdt iTCO_vendor_support snd_page_alloc i2c_core rfkill battery video wmi ac power_supply button processor ext4 mbcache jbd2 crc16 sha256_generic cryptd aes_x86_64 aes_generic cbc usbhid hid dm_crypt dm_mod sd_mod crc_t10dif ahci libahci libata scsi_mod usbcore atl1c thermal thermal_sys ** PCI devices: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation N10 Family DMI Bridge [8086:a010] (rev 02) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
