Is the panic reproducible as long as you start from a cold boot? If you can get a full log using netconsole[1] or a serial console[2], that would be very helpful. A log from a successful boot (a warm boot after the boot failure or a cold boot from unpatched v2.6.32.y from kernel.org) would also be interesting.
