Hi, I think this is some regression in intel drivers, since this is happening also on 3.2 kernel. Previously I had 2.6 kernel for a long time in Linux Mint 9 without any problems, but about a month ago, I switched to Ubuntu Studio 12.4 beta, and started to experience random lockups/poweroffs.
