 'grave' would mean the package is broken for most users, which it isn't.

The official description of grave from
http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer.html
does not say for whom the package is supposed to be broken or unusable:
"grave makes the package in question unusable or mostly so, or causes data loss, or 
introduces a security hole allowing access to the accounts of users who use the 
package."
For me, the package is unusable without weird hacks before boot time.

Windows runs on the computer without problems and the computer is new, so a 
hardware fault is unlikely. As soon as I run some testing program, I'll report 
here again.
