I too had several system freezes each week when running the default kernel in wheezy. I upgraded to 3.2.0-4.drm-amd64 over a week ago, and my machine (a Thinkpad T530 Ivy Bridge with Intel HD Graphics 4000) has worked flawlessly ever since.
