Further workarounds: radeon.modeset=0 in /etc/default/grub and rmmod radeon; modprobe radeon modeset=1 in /etc/rc.local Because the reason why I modprobe radeon is echo "OFF" > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo :-)
