Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-amd64
Version: 2.6.26-19
Severity: normal

When running xfs_fsr on any filesystem one gets a series of errors:
XFS_IOC_SWAPEXT failed: ino=[0-9]+: Invalid argument

It doesn't seem to matter if you run xfs_fsr without args, with -v, specifying a
mount point, specifying a device, etc. as you get the bug in all cases. The
only requirement is that it find at least 1 fragmented file that it wants to
re-organize.

The same bug was filed in other places:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfsdump/+bug/369441
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12538

The fix is mentioned in the bugzilla.kernel.org post and is located at:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commit;h=f0e0059b9c18426cffdcc04161062251a8f9741e

Though, upstream notes the bug doesn't appear until 2.6.29rc1. Either it
appeared earlier or appeared due to a backported debian patch or is actually a
completely different problem.

Hi,
your bug has been filed against the "linux-2.6" source package and was filed for
a kernel older than the recently released Debian 7.0 / Wheezy with a severity
less than important.

We don't have the ressources to reproduce the complete backlog of all older
kernel
bugs, so we're closing this bug for now. If you can reproduce the bug with
Debian Wheezy
or a more recent kernel from testing or unstable, please reopen the bug by
sending
a mail to [email protected] with the following three commands included in
the
mail:

reopen BUGNUMBER
reassign BUGNUMBER src:linux
thanks

Cheers,
        Moritz
