Actually, I suspect the black screen after login is a bug in KDE and
not the kernel.  When I login to Gnome, the screen is not turned off.
I also tested the same on Ubuntu Raring, and there Gnome do not turn
off the sceeen, while using Kubuntu do turn off the screen when I log
in.  Not quite sure what package in KDE could be the trigger for this
problem.
