Indeed, acpi_backlight=vendor reduces drastically the latency for me too.
I obtain better results by adding also acpi_osi=Linux. With only
acpi_backlight=vendor, the backlight was jumping a level : when I press
on my keyboard shortcut, the blacklight dims, ... and dims again. With
acpi_osi option, backlight dims only once.
So my problem is solved. Thanks again
