Dear Maintainer, The suggestion "modprobe 12c_powermac" in #64 does not work for me. My system is an iMac G4 (PowerMac6,1) with Keywest audio. The snd_powermac module is used for this system (not snd_aoa).
The syslog errors are: i2c i2c-3: PMac Keywest Audio: attach_adapter method is deprecated i2c i2c-3: Please use another way to instantiate your i2c_client i2c i2c-14: Failed to register i2c client keywest at 0x35 (-16) There has been a Gentoo bug raised for this issue, relating to the i2c subsystem: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469132 No fix has been reported there yet.
