Hi, I run LMDE , up-to-date (20140325), but with a long-term kernel: 3.10.33, on a 64b laptop (Dell E6530). When I connect the usb Ethernet adapter MosChip MCS7830, I never get a working network connection. I use NetworkManager --version 0.9.8.8. Sometimes it receives an IP adress via DHCP, but I never can connect to the internet. Also using a static IP address does not work: the address is assigned (ifconfig, or 'ip a' show a correct Ethernet device) but no data comes out or in.
I will boot an older kernel on of these days to test and keep you informed.
