Hi, the Linux kernel in Debian does currently not use this option: $ grep CONFIG_DEBUG_STRICT_USER_COPY_CHECKS /boot/config-3.14-* /boot/config-3.14-2-686-pae:# CONFIG_DEBUG_STRICT_USER_COPY_CHECKS is not set /boot/config-3.14-2-amd64:# CONFIG_DEBUG_STRICT_USER_COPY_CHECKS is not set It is only a compile time check, so it should not have any runtime impact.
