Turns out rebuilding 3.16.7-ckt2 (which is the current kernel source in testing) and using this PATCH [1] does fix it for me. I assume this will be pushed soon to a new linux-image-3.16.0-xx ? [1] https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83461#c27
