So they are. Hmm. I was getting a hang every day or so with 3.16.7-ckt7-1. With latest linux git I am getting zero hangs. There was also a report in the Launchpad bug from someone who was still getting hangs using a kernel with the fix. So it appears there is some other fix that is still missing, but there are a lot of drm/i915 changes between 3.16 and current git.
