-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hello,
Following a bug identified on Ubuntu[1] where OOM gets triggered when a kernel dump capture is needed, I am preparing a modification of kdump-tools to use smaller initrd.img. I have described the details of the modification on my blog[2]. Being the maintainer of makedumpfile/kdump-tools on Debian, I am contemplating the opportunity to bring that modification to Debian first. This is why I am posting to the list : I would appreciate your point of view on the matter, since the kernel team is mostly concerned by how kernel dump capture is achieved on Debian. Thank you in advance, Kind regards, ...Louis [1] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kexec-tools/+bug/1496317 [2] http://caribou.kamikamamak.com/2015/10/19/kdump-tools-enhancements-to-use-smalle r-initrd-img/ - -- Louis Bouchard Software engineer, Ubuntu GPG : 429D 7A3B DD05 B6F8 AF63 B9C4 8B3D 867C 823E 7A61 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJWMzMkAAoJEFZStL2qfwOt4xoP+wUdQipuOqDcB2QXwmPu/3XH gVecqd2k72qP8yOpIz6gOiIrm1Qusp2IVhPDzf+qmit8tjCr8yzhFKPWr1r+pMZA uYotZIBCyFklEiWA4+/zV2KzYf3sGGQtBLE3PalbE82UNssFA9j5rWqIbVtDP0vQ 73c5IiDwv7A+b1px3LFH2S8xJjs3tn+qHyy/jJDkpdlGvQp1UgbZyEqXuzWtefAK 6077FXJQwj0ENrQsuyNYC+9zOo2QtY/IviSclbjLB0XkB/LV32upEHYaYEaDcMgs tyFkJmt/4+8dETDDvCBBHf6mhaQyQzEcuIobwCJBMiEa1Awjz94kjOBQFSX/7x1H /1xJQZUdLiffm+z/n1BuvqrJDFjo6r7D7p3BnQFghldSr0+vmlx2dA0ZgcyNJYD3 Bi3pVFrmxCJLY38dEWnWA0te+uisGI9Znu6py5jpVq3M39z2cTjf569rxNBWqAxe ImhJYz/DLw+vXFoMD/i9tXo0YEW0VmazdaXU1BB5y76O/fUy5g1UMwgHPzvs2vWH SRVpbutaw9kaGFNYQzpCowUwRn+ekaHvx1YgDc60uDTHMD/PiM2HFO0q4ysoxvlx R4hEPnJ56THUWRiDnNytBs9mWBEORoc1EUg1EDgl3rsnqmq7ceT01wPRSWWwgX+x 9OyLlSUMfvhjHm2cTD9F =Huss -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
