'Instantan' trifft es nicht ganz, denn das W�rterbuch in 'www.thesaurus.com' sagt z.B.: on the fly 1. On the run; in a hurry: took lunch on the fly. 2. While in the air; in flight: caught the ball on the fly. Also: 'instantan' w�re zu schnell. 'On the fly' kann in manchen Zusammenh�ngen mit 'im Flug' 'im Lauf' oder 'auf dem Flug' (etc.) �bersetzt werden, wird aber bereits h�ufig direkt mit 'On-The-Fly' �bersetzt. Meine Vorschl�ge: 'on the fly decompression' -> 'On-The-Fly-Dekomprimierung' 'to decompress images on the fly' -> 'Bilder in einem Rutsch komprimieren' Vorsicht: 'instantane Dekompression im Flug' sollte man mit R�cksicht auf die Gesundheit vermeiden ;-) Matthias
