Glad you got it working :) I don't know if it is the cause, but I
understand there might be issues if you toggle the power supply on and
off, as the speedstep stuff throws the kernel timings around. I've had
some problems with this, causing lockups and crashes (but that could
also be the pcmcia stuff acting up).
