Hi, there is a system for USB which has an external power supply so it isn't really portable as it needs to be plugged in. the only one i know can be bought at www.allnet.com or www.allnet.de don't know exactly. it works even with 100 GB hdd but i haven't tried it under linux. obviously USB is annoyingly slow for these amounts of data. i use it only for my mp3 collection so in my case that doesn't matter. greets benny
