I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 running Woody 2.4.18. APMD is running and I can close the lid without the system going to standby.
In BIOS (page 6/7 for my laptop) are the options for power management. I checked the files and subdirectories of /etc/apm and can't see any place to configure this.
