I have a model 8420-WD card labeled Orinoco, sold by Proxim, and with a chip from Agere Systems. I had given up on this card, but recently stumbled across a driver at www.greenblaze.com/proxim.html. This driver is also available at www.agere.com/support/drivers/ I downloaded the driver and read the included file README.wlags49, but had no luck compiling the driver. My impression is that the instructions are for a redhat system. Has anyone successfully compiled/installed/used this driver on a debian system? I'm using woody with a 2.4.18 kernel.
