Pcmcia and audio aren't capable of co-operation.

I made my first encounter with linux and I installed stable debian 3.0 
r2 using just cd1 to my old laptop Acer Travelmate 506T but I ran across 
with two nasty problems.

1) My pcmcia internet card isn't working.
This card is 3com 3CCFE574BT.
2) My audio isn't working either.
506T has an intel i810 audio chip.
Please give me quite detailed instructions to solve these problems.
