I confirm that is the case with a Thinkpad A31, using APM the suspends/resume even works under X!

I haven't been able to get X11 4.3 running properly on my machine (asus l3800) I had it running once but no 3d. last time i tried screen fritzed big time!
sticking with what debian gives me now! (which i think is 4.2.1 or summat)
