Ok... take a deep breath Bill. I know Linux seems intimidating. I came from a Windows world. I still support it and have been for the last 5 years. Linux is a totally different way of thinking, doing things, and everything else. A great place to start is linuxquestions.org; tldp.org (tons of documentation) and of course the distro site (debian.org) for additional information. Also... linux.com has several things to read. What exactly are you trying to uninstall? The OS? A program? I know it seems frustrating but keep going.. perhaps a Live Cd or dual booting the system maybe the best route for right now.
