Have a look at AuthSMTP - http://www.authsmtp.com
It is the SMTP relay I use - works very well and essential because I use multiple ISP's - supports both default and alternate port SMTP to get around ISP's blocking port 25.
... just as long as your email supports SMTP authentication!
