I have a Latitude CPx (which I'm sure uses a different dock), but I believe when I first installed windows it said it was a 82559-based adapter.. but with the drivers installed it says its a 3com 3c920 adapter .. anyway, I use the 3c59x/905 driver and it works fine .... try that .. though the inspiron dock may be totally different...
