Howdy, I am trying to install sound on my Compaq Armada 7800. the Compaq linux document says the Armada 7400 and 7800 uses the ESS1879 sound chip it also says this is found in most recent kernel sources. I have the 2.2.14 kernel source tree and I cannot find this anywhere.
Has anyone out in the Debian laptop world configured sound on one of these and know where I have gone wrong? Thanks, Aaron
