HI all- I recently purchased one of the lightweight Dell Latitude Ls laptops and installed potato on it from boot floppies, etc. I found out that the system has the 3com905c tornado integrated as well as a modem by actiontec. The modem actually uses the lucent chipset so I downloaded the binary drivers from lucent. Other than a kernel version mismatch, the module loads by forcing it and the modem finds itself at /dev/ttyS14. Wvdial also finds it there which is a good thing since thats what I use to dial.
So, have others used this particular driver with success? I am traveling all this next week and want to use either the lucent chipset or take my trusty old pcmcia modem. I read about some issues with dropped lines or noisy conditions. Anyone else use it? Thanks. -- Michael Perry [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------
