The xmps package doesn't seem to have the AVI codec included. I guess because of licensing issues. My guess would be that if you dl the xmps source, compile it, and then copy the AVI codec to the right place, it would work, but I haven't tried it. You can also look at avifile. http://divx.euro.ru/ It has a qt-based viewer and an xmps plugin. No deb packages, though. Hubert
