Have a look at http://sourceforge.net/projects/irda/. It isnt so hard to get IRDA. Before asking questions please read the mailinglist-archive. I think Gericom uses smc-chips(my Network Laptop has one) or in newer laptops the nsc-chips. -- Henning Heinold
